BSIS Firearms Permit Bi-Annual Review (2 hrs)

Live Fire range training sessions are currently available in San Diego County only.

CHANGE IN STATE LAW!!!

BSIS now requires you to complete a 2 hour refresher each time you re-qualify for your firearms permit.

There are 2 steps to requalifying:

  1. Complete an online 2 hour refresher course.
  2. Complete your range re-qualification. (Available in San Diego County Only).

Complete this mandatory 2 hour refresher course first.  It is required of all armed security officers in the state of California each time they qualify on the range for their bi-annual qualifications.  Security officers are required to both complete this course and complete a live-fire range qualification.

Once you have completed this 2 hour online refresher, follow the instructions at the end of this online refresher to register for your range day.

This course meets and exceeds requirements stated in Title 16, California Code of Regulations, Section 643 for security officer training.

NOTE:

  • State law requires that your practical range qualification day must be completed within 30 days of the day you complete the online section of this course.
  • You must bring proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency in the United States in order to shoot. The ONLY documents that are accepted by BSIS are:
